Primary Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA license required
- Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
- Understanding of therapy techniques and interventions for children and adolescents
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and families
- Compassionate and patient approach to supporting student goals
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Assist in developing and implementing therapy activities tailored to each student’s IEP
- Document student progress accurately and timely
- Maintain communication with supervising SLP on student needs and session outcomes
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to planning
- Prepare therapy materials and maintain a welcoming therapy environment
- Support students both 1:1 and in small groups, adapting techniques as appropriate
