What We're Looking For:
- Valid state licensure or eligibility as an SLPA
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Solid understanding of elementary-level curriculum and communication challenges for students in 1st through 5th grades
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to follow individualized education plans and work under supervision of an SLP
- Adaptability and compassion for working with diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement speech and language therapy activities as directed by the supervising SLP
- Work closely with classroom teachers and staff to integrate communication strategies
- Support students in small group or one-on-one settings to foster speech and language development
- Monitor progress and document student performance
- Assist with assessment, data collection, and preparation of materials
- Encourage and motivate students to achieve their communication goals
