Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
• Previous experience or strong interest in working with school-aged children, ideally within grades 1-5
• Knowledge of speech and language development strategies for elementary students
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting progress
• Adaptability in supporting diverse student needs across different grade levels

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out therapy sessions with students in 1st through 5th grades under the supervision of an SLP
• Implement targeted intervention plans for students’ speech and language goals
• Engage students with creative and age-appropriate activities that encourage participation
• Maintain thorough and accurate records of student progress and session outcomes
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support students’ communication needs in the classroom
• Contribute to team meetings regarding student progress and intervention strategies
