School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Moreno Valley, CA
Take the next step in your Speech-Language Pathology career with a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students in the Perris area. This unique role is ideal for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) passionate about making a difference in educational settings. You’ll collaborate closely with SLPs to deliver high-quality therapeutic services to students across a manageable, SELPA-guideline caseload.
In this position, you’ll provide direct and indirect therapy services and support communication goals for students at various school sites, following guidance from certified SLPs. Two immediate openings are available, both full-time (40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm with a one-hour lunch break). You’ll have the opportunity to work at both elementary and high school levels, nurturing your clinical skills and experience in diverse school environments.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field required
- Valid/current California SLPA license
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language support to students as directed by supervising SLPs
- Implement therapy plans and activities based on students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collect data and maintain accurate records on student progress
- Assist with direct and indirect services, materials, and documentation needs
- Travel between multiple assigned schools as needed
