As a contract Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) working within school settings, you’ll be instrumental in delivering outstanding support and therapy services to students, collaborating closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists, educators, and families.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active SLPA license in California
- Prior experience working with children or adolescents in educational settings preferred
- Familiarity with implementing speech and language goals under supervision
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Organizational skills to document student progress
- Adaptability and a positive attitude in a team environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapeutic interventions to students under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Follow individualized education plans (IEPs) to help students achieve targeted speech and language goals
- Assist with preparation of therapy materials and classroom activities
- Collect and record data on student progress for supervisor review
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and collaboration sessions as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
