This contract opportunity begins August 11 and runs through May 28 of the following academic year, allowing you to engage deeply with students and staff across the school year. You'll support K-12 students, with grade level assignments tailored to your expertise or preference, at one or two conveniently located sites (both less than a mile apart).
Key Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
- Active SLPA licensure or certification, meeting all state requirements
- Prior experience with children or students in educational or clinical settings is a plus
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities
- Genuine enthusiasm for collaborating on a multidisciplinary team
Preferred Skills:
- Understanding of literacy interventions and phonemic awareness practices
- Familiarity with progress monitoring and student data collection tools
- Knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)
- Ability to foster lasting, positive connections with students and colleagues
- Adaptable, proactive, and focused on student success
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy and interventions under SLP supervision
- Contribute to the development and implementation of educational and therapeutic plans
- Monitor growth, track student progress, and document all interventions
- Communicate regularly with teachers, staff, and families to support student outcomes
- Participate in team meetings to coordinate services and share insights
