Travel Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) - Milwaukee, WI
This travel SLPA position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic school environment in Milwaukee, WI, supporting children from ages 3 through 8th grade. The role is scheduled from August 28 through June, with a workweek consisting of four days, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. You will be responsible for providing speech and language support to approximately 25 students, with up to three possibly being dismissed during the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to students aged 3 through 8th grade
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate documentation of student evaluations and therapy sessions
- Participate in team meetings and provide recommendations for student communication goals
Qualifications:
- Valid DPI License 1820 for Speech and Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience working with children in school settings, preferably ages 3 to 14
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively and adapt therapy approaches to individual student needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Location & Work Schedule:
- Milwaukee, Wisconsin (travel position)
- Four days per week, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Contract duration: August 28 through June
