Qualifications/Experience:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
- Current SLPA license or eligibility in Texas
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow therapy plans under the supervision of an SLP
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to students as outlined in Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in implementing lesson plans and tracking student progress
- Prepare and organize therapy materials and activities
- Maintain accurate student records and document session outcomes
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and educational staff to promote student success
- Support parent communication regarding student development as needed
