Qualifications & Experience:
- Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), required
- Previous experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Proficient in sign language and able to communicate effectively with students using ASL
- Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and with diverse student populations
- Comfortable splitting time between middle and high school environments
- Organized, adaptable, and able to manage a dynamic caseload
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to students as directed by a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet student IEP goals with inclusion of sign language as needed
- Document progress and assist in preparing materials for therapy sessions
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with faculty and families to support student development
- Travel between two assigned campuses as part of a balanced weekly schedule
- Maintain compliance with all relevant federal, state, and district guidelines
