School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Lawrence, Massachusetts

An exciting contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) ready to make a lasting impact within a supportive school community near Lawrence, MA. This position covers three schools at the elementary and middle school levels and is set to begin as soon as possible, running through June 18, 2027. The role offers a consistent 34-hour workweek, providing structured days and the chance to support students’ communication skills in a meaningful way.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current and active Massachusetts SLPA license required
- Previous experience in a school setting or with school-aged children preferred
- Ability to efficiently manage a caseload across multiple locations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of best practices for providing speech and language support in educational environments
- Ability to independently implement therapy sessions and follow direction from supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to assigned students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Support students in developing speech and language skills as outlined in Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Document session notes and progress reports accurately and timely
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and the IEP team regarding student performance
- Rotate between three schools (elementary and middle) as assigned
- Assist with screenings, assessments, and the creation of materials as needed
