Qualifications and Experience:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) program required
- Current SLPA state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in Virginia
- Previous experience working with school-aged children is highly valued
- Strong understanding of speech and language development
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement therapy plans developed by the Speech-Language Pathologist
- Provide direct intervention services to students in individual and group sessions
- Document student progress and communicate outcomes effectively to supervising SLP and educational staff
- Assist with screenings and assessments as directed
- Contribute to a supportive, collaborative team and school community
- Encourage student participation and engagement, promoting confidence and progress
