Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid licensure/certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of speech and language development in elementary-aged children
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
- Ability to follow treatment plans developed by a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
- Team-oriented mindset and readiness to collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech and language therapy services to elementary students under supervision
- Implement individualized education program (IEP) goals and support students in achieving measurable progress
- Collect data, document sessions, and provide feedback to the supervising SLP and wider team
- Participate in meetings, collaborate in planning, and help foster a positive, inclusive school environment
- Adapt activities and materials to meet the unique needs of each child
- Communicate regularly with school staff and families to support continuity of care
