1:1 Pediatric School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) | Helix, Oregon
Step into a rewarding full-time contract opportunity supporting students as a School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This role is dedicated to providing personalized 1:1 pediatric care across a close-knit network of schools, serving a caseload of 40 students. You will be serving students at Island City Elementary School and La Grande High School as well as supporting North Powder School District, offering comprehensive care in a collaborative educational setting. The district is ready to welcome a compassionate and driven SLPA, with interviews available right away.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA licensure or eligibility in Oregon
- Demonstrated experience with 1:1 pediatric care, preferably in school settings
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with supervising SLPs, educators, and families to support student progress
- Comfortable working across multiple sites in a small district
- Passion for fostering positive, inclusive learning environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to a diverse pediatric caseload of 40 students
- Implement treatment plans designed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
- Collect and document data on student progress
- Communicate regularly with team members regarding student achievements and challenges
- Travel between school sites as needed within the district to support continuity of care
- Assist in the preparation of therapy materials and activities
