What you’ll need to thrive:
• Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field
• Valid SLPA license/certification for the state of California
• School-based experience or a strong desire to develop skills in educational settings
• Bilingual abilities in Spanish are highly encouraged
• Excellent interpersonal and communication talents
• Ability to collaborate with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists, teachers, and families
• Flexibility to support a range of grade levels (preK-8)
Key responsibilities you’ll take on:
• Deliver direct therapy services under the guidance of a licensed SLP
• Assist in developing and carrying out individualized student treatment plans
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multi-disciplinary teams
• Support classroom strategies and adapt materials as needed for student engagement
• Help with screenings and assessments as appropriate
