Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid SLPA licensure in Texas
- Experience working within school environments preferred
- Ability to carry out prescribed therapy plans under the direction of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Compassion and patience working with diverse student populations
- Familiarity with IEP documentation and progress monitoring a plus
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students as guided by supervising SLPs
- Support students across various grade levels during the ESY (Extended School Year) program
- Assist in planning and implementing intervention activities tailored to individual student needs
- Document student progress and session notes as required by district and program guidelines
- Participate in team meetings, student evaluations, and family conferences when necessary
- Foster an encouraging and inclusive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with educational staff to ensure student success
