Qualifications and Experience:
- Associate’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or Communications Disorders
- Valid, current SLPA license or eligibility to obtain licensure in Tennessee
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, families, and staff
- Commitment to supporting students with diverse backgrounds and needs
- Ability to follow treatment plans and document student progress
- Professional, reliable, and enthusiastic about ongoing learning
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement therapy sessions and activities as directed by supervising SLPs
- Assist in screening, assessing, and documenting the progress of students
- Support IEP goals, providing hands-on guidance and encouragement for student success
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and caregivers to foster a supportive learning environment
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance
- Participate in professional development and ongoing supervision as required
