Your schedule will be consistent, working 35 hours per week (7 hours per day), which allows for a rewarding work-life balance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Speech-Language Pathology, or Communication Disorders (required)
- Experience working with children in school settings preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt activities to support a range of student needs
- SLPA license is not required in Virginia for this position
Responsibilities:
- Implement therapeutic activities as directed by a supervising speech-language pathologist
- Support students’ progress on their individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Document and track student progress and maintain accurate records
- Prepare materials and adapt resources for effective service delivery
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other school staff
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive school climate
