Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Elk River, MN

Two onsite, part-time positions are currently available, starting on August 25, 2026 (with students beginning September 8, 2026) and continuing through June 10, 2027. Positions are based at Northdale Middle School (0.7 FTE) and Andover Elementary & High School.
In this role, you’ll work approximately 37.5 hours per week (Monday through Friday) in a supportive team environment, contributing to students’ communication development. You'll work closely with Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), teachers, and families to deliver impactful services.
Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota SLPA license (must be in hand before the interview; pending licensure not accepted)
- Experience in a K-12 educational environment preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Dual certification is required; candidates must submit proof of certification along with their resume
Responsibilities:
- Implement speech and language therapy plans created by supervising SLPs
- Provide direct, indirect, and consultative services to students
- Document students’ progress and maintain accurate records
- Support classroom teachers and parents with strategies for student success
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP development
