Speech Language Pathologist Assistant
School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
A great school district is now looking to hire Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year in Devine, TX. There are currently 2 openings available, and the district is ready to review qualified candidates.
This is a school-based position beginning in mid-August 2026 and running through late May 2027. The final school calendar is still being approved, but the position will generally be 30 hours per week, 4 days per week. Certain weeks may increase to 40 hours per week, 5 days per week, depending on testing needs and the finalized calendar.
Responsibilities:
· Provide general SLPA support under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
· Assist with speech and language therapy services for students.
· Support students with communication, articulation, language development, and related needs.
· Collaborate with supervising SLPs, teachers, and school staff to help implement therapy plans.
· Complete documentation and other general SLPA duties as assigned.
Experience:
· Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred.
Education/Requirements:
· Active SLPA license/certification as required by the state.
· Must meet all school and state requirements for SLPA practice.
Employment Type: Full-time, Contract
Work Hours: 30 hours per week, 4 days per week
Certain weeks may be 40 hours per week, 5 days per week depending on testing and final calendar approval.
