Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Corona, CA
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting the growth and development of students in an educational setting as a School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). Two contract positions are available for the 2026-2027 school year, with a schedule running from August 10, 2026, through May 28, 2027. You’ll contribute valuable skills in speech and language support services, working onsite within an engaging school environment for 37.5 hours per week (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day).
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and current SLPA licensure or eligibility
- Prior experience working with children in school or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with educators and students
- Organizational ability to manage schedules, document sessions, and support IEP goals
- Passion for enhancing communication abilities and fostering academic success
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapeutic interventions to students as prescribed by a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Support students’ speech, language, and communication development in group and individual sessions
- Collaborate with SLPs and other educational professionals regarding student progress and needs
- Maintain accurate records, session notes, and assist in data collection to document student growth
- Help adapt activities and materials to align with each student’s communication goals
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment supporting student confidence
