This full-time, full-school-year contract role offers meaningful work supporting K-12 learners, with the majority being Pre-K, in a diverse educational setting near Palm Desert, CA. Key Qualifications:
- Active SLPA license and Certificate of Clearance
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is required
- Previous experience in school settings strongly preferred (no new graduates at this time)
- Open to candidates from outside the area who are able to commit to longer-term assignments
- Knowledge or experience with SEIS and Paradigm platforms is a plus
- Comfortable working in an itinerant capacity across various sites
- Experience supporting students with a range of needs, including mild to moderate and some severe cases, as well as those using AAC devices
- Ability to work under supervision provided remotely by tele-SLPs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language support services to students as directed by supervising SLPs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student communication needs
- Assist with evaluations, treatment planning, and progress monitoring
- Maintain accurate documentation utilizing SEIS and Paradigm, as applicable
- Adapt to a flexible, potentially itinerant daily schedule across campuses
