Step into a rewarding opportunity to support students as a School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. This full-time, full-school-year contract role offers meaningful work supporting K-12 learners, with the majority being Pre-K, in a diverse educational setting near Palm Desert, CA. Bilingual Spanish-speaking professionals with a passion for making an impact are encouraged to apply, especially those experienced in school environments and dedicated to completing more than a one-year assignment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active SLPA license and Certificate of Clearance
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is required
  • Previous experience in school settings strongly preferred (no new graduates at this time)
  • Open to candidates from outside the area who are able to commit to longer-term assignments
  • Knowledge or experience with SEIS and Paradigm platforms is a plus
  • Comfortable working in an itinerant capacity across various sites
  • Experience supporting students with a range of needs, including mild to moderate and some severe cases, as well as those using AAC devices
  • Ability to work under supervision provided remotely by tele-SLPs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language support services to students as directed by supervising SLPs
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student communication needs
  • Assist with evaluations, treatment planning, and progress monitoring
  • Maintain accurate documentation utilizing SEIS and Paradigm, as applicable
  • Adapt to a flexible, potentially itinerant daily schedule across campuses
