School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Madera, CA

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students' communication needs as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) during the Extended School Year (ESY) term. In this contract role, you will play a key part in helping young learners strengthen their speech and language abilities in a school-based environment.
This assignment runs from June 9th through June 30th, offering a consistent schedule of 25 hours per week. Bring your enthusiasm and expertise to a supportive educational setting while making a lasting difference in students’ lives.
What you bring:
- Active SLPA license required
- Experience working with school-aged children, especially in a school or ESY setting
- Ability to collaborate effectively with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists and educational staff
- Solid understanding of therapeutic interventions and IEP implementation
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A positive, student-centered approach to service delivery
Key responsibilities:
- Support Speech-Language Pathologists by implementing therapy plans and activities
- Work directly with students to address speech-language goals specified in IEPs
- Document student progress and prepare materials for therapy sessions
- Provide input on student performance to help modify intervention strategies
- Participate in team meetings, offering observations and insights on student growth
- Foster an encouraging and respectful environment for student learning
