Key Qualifications:
- Active SLPA TX License is required
- Previous experience in a school-based setting or working with K-12 students is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, Speech-Language Pathologists, and families
- Organized, self-motivated, and adaptable to a dynamic school environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language interventions to students as directed by supervising SLPs
- Assist with the implementation of therapy programs according to students' IEP goals
- Document student progress, interventions provided, and maintain accurate records
- Support classroom teachers by providing strategies for integrating language and communication objectives
- Communicate professionally with staff, administration, and families about student needs and progress
- Adapt therapy techniques for varying age groups, from elementary through high school
