School Speech Therapy Assistant | Bonita Springs, Florida

We are seeking dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPA) to serve multiple school locations for the 2026-2027 academic year. This is a contract opportunity with both full-time (up to 37.5 hours/week) and potential part-time options available, starting August 11, 2026, and running through May 27, 2027.
As an SLPA, you’ll collaborate closely with lead Speech-Language Pathologists and school staff to provide direct support to caseloads of approximately 50-55 students, spanning a range of ages across elementary and middle schools. This position is strictly on-site at multiple campuses in the Fort Myers area—ideal for those who thrive on personal interaction and campus involvement.
Qualifications:
- Active FL DOH SLPA license required
- Previous experience working in a school setting (preferred)
- Familiarity with a diverse K-12 student population
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to travel to and work at multiple school campuses
Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapeutic interventions under the supervision of a certified Speech-Language Pathologist
- Support the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Document student progress in compliance with district and regulatory guidelines
- Engage and communicate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adapt strategies to meet individualized student needs and promote progress
The role requires successful completion of fingerprint clearance—if you have current fingerprints accessible via the AHCA Clearinghouse, you may expedite eligibility. JLA badge transfer from other Florida districts is possible as well.
