Travel Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Bel Air, MD
A Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed to support students from PreK through 5th grade in two schools located in the Baltimore area, MD. This travel assignment offers the opportunity to work on-site at Magnolia Elementary in Joppatowne (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) and Prospect Mill Elementary in Bel Air (Mondays and Wednesdays). The position runs from mid-February through the end of May, with the potential to extend through a four-week summer session in July.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing speech and language therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist
- Support students in improving communication skills aligned with individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Document and report student progress and collaborate with school staff to enhance therapeutic outcomes
- Maintain compliance with district and state regulations, including background checks and credentialing requirements
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland Professional Licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant
- Ability to obtain and pass required district background checks and fingerprinting in accordance with House Bill 486
- Experience working with children in educational settings (preferably PreK-5)
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
- Flexibility to travel between two school locations

- Work schedule totals 37.5 hours per week divided between two schools
- Dates: February 16, 2026 – May 29, 2026, with possible extension into summer session (July 2026)
