An opportunity is available for a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide essential support services in a dynamic school setting within the Baltimore area, MD. This role involves assignments at two elementary schools: Magnolia Elementary (3 days weekly: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and Prospect Mill Elementary (2 days weekly: Monday, Wednesday). The position spans from mid-February to late May 2026, with the possibility of extension into the Extended School Year (ESY) program during July.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language support to students from PreK through 5th grade.
- Collaborate with speech-language pathologists and educational staff to implement individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor and document student progress effectively, maintaining compliance with school and state regulations.
- Participate in necessary training and credentialing activities to meet district and state requirements.
- Adhere to all professional standards, including completing a background check and fingerprinting as mandated by House Bill 486.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Maryland professional licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant.
- Experience working with school-age children (PreK-5th grade) preferred.
- Ability to travel between two school sites within the Baltimore area.
- Reliable, organized, and committed to supporting student communication development.
Work Schedule:
- 37.5 hours per week distributed across the two schools.
- Magnolia Elementary: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
- Prospect Mill Elementary: Monday, Wednesday.
