This assignment runs from ASAP until June 10, 2027, with full-time hours (Monday through Friday). The focus will be providing support to elementary-aged children, helping them reach important communication milestones. You will work onsite in collaboration with educational teams, supporting students and utilizing your expertise to empower young learners.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Delaware SLPA license (must be uploaded for consideration)
- School-based SLPA experience is preferred
- Ability to pass an $85 criminal background check (fingerprinting fee, candidate responsibility)
- Willingness to complete a district contractor packet, including: school site assignment form, recent TB test, fingerprint receipt, and Child Protective Registry Check
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language services for elementary students under the supervision of a certified SLP
- Document student progress and contribute to goal setting and progress monitoring
- Collaborate with school staff, classroom teachers, and families to support student success
- Participate in student support and multidisciplinary team meetings as needed
- Ensure compliance with all district, state, and professional guidelines
Additional Information:
- Contractor packets can take up to 5 business days for district processing after submission
- After approval, schedule a district badge appointment to begin service at the assigned school
