School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Auburn, Washington

As a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), you'll collaborate closely with a .5 FTE virtual SLP, providing essential direct services to students throughout the full school year. This role allows you to make a genuine difference for children while working with a supportive partner who manages a manageable caseload in the 30s, oversees IEPs, completes evaluations, and offers hands-on supervision.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA license/certification required
- Experience in school or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Familiarity with both educational and healthcare-based speech therapy practices
- Skilled communicator with both students and multidisciplinary teams
- Adept at following treatment plans and collecting accurate data
- Compassionate, patient, and eager to help students succeed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language services as outlined in student IEPs under SLP supervision
- Track and document student progress, ensuring all records are complete and timely
- Support the virtual SLP by following treatment recommendations and communicating regularly
- Offer feedback and insights on student performance and engagement
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment to help each child reach their communication goals
- Work effectively as part of a dedicated team, assisting with other duties as needed
