Step into a rewarding opportunity as a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant on a contract basis, supporting students throughout the full school year. Situated in the vibrant Bonney Lake, WA area, this role invites you to make a meaningful impact by providing direct services under the mentorship of an experienced virtual SLP.
In this position, you'll collaborate closely with a .5 FTE SLP who oversees a small and manageable caseload, typically in the 30s. The SLP will focus on evaluations, IEPs, and supervision, enabling you to dedicate your time to hands-on, direct delivery of speech and language interventions with students.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field
- Valid SLPA licensure required
- Experience working in school or healthcare settings as an SLPA is highly valued
- Understanding of IEPs, therapy documentation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Comfort with collaboration in a virtual supervision environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language services to students as described in their IEPs, aligning with program goals and treatment plans
- Document session notes and student progress in accordance with school and state standards
- Communicate and coordinate with the supervising SLP, educators, and families to maximize student success
- Support the implementation of speech and language interventions in classroom and individual settings
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and collaboration with staff
