Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity serving students for the upcoming school year as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a supportive academic setting. This onsite, part-time role covers a 37.5-hour work week across Monday to Friday with assignments at both a middle and elementary-to-high school site. The assignment begins August 25, 2026, with students starting September 8th, and concludes June 10, 2027.
What you’ll bring:
- Current, active Minnesota SLPA license—candidates must hold this at the time of application; pending licensure is not accepted
- Dual SLPA certification as per state requirements
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly valued
- Proficiency supporting students with diverse communication needs under the guidance of supervising SLPs
- Organized, independent, and adaptable, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services under supervision of a licensed SLP
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and administrators to support student goals at Northdale Middle School (0.7 FTE) and Andover Elementary through High School (remaining FTE)
- Assist in documenting student progress, adapting activities, and preparing therapy materials
- Contribute to IEP team meetings and provide regular updates on student progress
- Ensure all interventions and reporting align with district and state policies
