School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Andover, MN

Make an impact supporting students’ communication skills as an integral part of a dynamic educational environment. This is a contract opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) working with approximately 50-60 students across two elementary campuses. The assignment will run from August 31 through June 4, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
Requirements for Success:
- Valid and current SLPA license; please be prepared to provide your active license and certification number
- Previous experience supporting speech and language needs in a school setting preferred
- Strong collaboration skills for working closely with supervising speech-language pathologists, teachers, and school staff
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt interventions to students’ individual goals
- Excellent record-keeping, documentation, and communication abilities
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to students under the guidance and supervision of a certified SLP
- Work primarily across two local elementary school sites to provide support according to each student’s IEP or service plan
- Assist with assessment activities, therapy material preparation, and progress documentation
- Implement intervention strategies that foster communication success in classroom and social situations
- Maintain detailed notes and contribute meaningfully to student progress and IEP meetings as required
