School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Anaheim, California
Step into a dynamic school-based setting supporting students as an itinerant Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) across multiple campuses for the 2026-2027 academic year. In this role, you will serve two school sites (to be determined) and provide essential speech-language support, with a particular emphasis on students in specialized classrooms, including those with Autism. As a valued member of the school community, you will utilize your skills in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), apply your bilingual Spanish abilities, and offer caring, flexible interventions.
What we’re looking for:
- Active California SLPA license
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish
- Previous schools-based experience as an SLPA
- Proficient with AAC technology and interventions
- Comfortable supporting all age groups, particularly students with Autism and those in specialized classrooms
- Ability to travel between assigned school sites
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services under the guidance of the SLP lead
- Implement individualized treatment plans and document student progress
- Support teachers and other staff in strategies for communication needs
- Adapt methods to best meet student and classroom goals
- Collaborate on assessment, IEP documentation, and family communication
- Maintain a flexible schedule between two assigned school locations
You'll be working onsite, Monday through Friday for 37.5 hours each week. Multiple positions are available, providing an opportunity to partner with dedicated educators and speech staff.
