School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) | Amherst, Massachusetts

As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), you will work onsite, collaborating with certified Speech-Language Pathologists and school staff to deliver quality services to children and adolescents. This contract position is full time, with potential part-time options available to accommodate your schedule.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited SLPA program or related coursework as required for SLPA state licensure
- Current and valid SLPA license/certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently under supervision
- Organizational skills and flexibility in supporting a variety of student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students as outlined in individualized education plans (IEPs), under the supervision of an SLP
- Track and document student progress and session notes in accordance with school and regulatory guidelines
- Support implementation of speech-language goals within both classroom and therapy settings
- Prepare materials and adapt activities for sessions based on students’ needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other support staff to maximize student growth
- Participate in training, meetings, and professional development to enhance service delivery
