Qualifications/Skills:
- Valid SLP license in Illinois (or eligibility)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Experience as a school-based SLP
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to work full-time, in-person (~33.25 hours per week)
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in new and diverse educational settings
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students
- Conduct assessments and create individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
- Document progress and comply with state and federal guidelines
- Adapt therapy techniques to suit the needs of a diverse student population
- Participate actively in school meetings and interventions
