School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Zion, Illinois
Make a real impact supporting students’ speech and language growth with this exciting contract opportunity for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time position runs from August 17, 2026, through May 27, 2027, providing your expertise and compassion to students in a welcoming educational setting located near Zion, IL. Enjoy a structured Monday-through-Friday schedule, working approximately 33.25 hours each week in person for the entire academic year.
Qualifications:
- Holds a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Possesses a current, valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
- Eligible for (or holds) a current state license for Speech-Language Pathology.
- School-based experience preferred, with strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Adept at developing IEPs and documenting student progress.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students per assigned caseload.
- Conduct assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans and goals tailored to students’ needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support students’ educational success.
- Monitor progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings as required.
- Remain up-to-date with best practices and utilize evidence-based clinical strategies.
