This is an in-person contract opportunity for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist, running from August 17, 2026, through May 27, 2027, on a full-time schedule of approximately 33.25 hours per week.
Utilize your SLP expertise to help children achieve their academic and personal goals, while collaborating with a team of passionate educators and support staff. Your contributions will make a meaningful difference for students throughout the school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Illinois SLP licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous school-based SLP experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse student populations
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Commitment to professional growth and development
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students with a variety of needs
- Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and participate in meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to craft effective intervention plans
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress and service delivery
- Incorporate evidence-based practices and adapt therapy techniques for individual and group settings
- Support students’ communication skills to foster classroom participation and social interaction
