Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Speech Language Pathologist license for the state of Michigan
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience working in school settings, preferably with K-12 students
- Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary school teams
- Dedicated to helping students with diverse needs succeed academically and socially
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and targeted intervention strategies
- Provide direct therapy services individually and in group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, classroom staff, and parents on student goals and progress
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation in compliance with district and state standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert recommendations on student support plans
- Stay current with best practices and maintain professional licensure requirements
