Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Newport News, VA
A dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 school year, providing vital communication support to students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEP) and 504 goals collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Deliver both direct and indirect speech therapy services tailored to student needs.
- Monitor, document, and analyze student progress to ensure effective interventions.
- Consult regularly with teachers, parents, and school administrators to foster student success.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with pediatric and school-based populations is highly desirable.
- Skills in teletherapy, healthcare, and clinical fellowship year (CFY) environments are a plus.
- Familiarity with supporting diverse student needs across comprehensive grade levels.
