Make a meaningful impact in early childhood education by providing speech-language services to preschool-aged students with special education needs. This contract-based, on-site opportunity focuses on supporting children ages 3 to 5 in Adams County, serving programs in the New Oxford and Gettysburg areas. The role is itinerant, following a 188-day preschool stretch calendar with dedicated weekly paperwork time built into your schedule.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA CCC required (consideration for Clinical Fellows if agency arranges supervision funding)
- Current, active Pennsylvania SLP license (must be presented with application)
- Experience in school-based settings and with preschool populations preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with families, educators, and team members
- Ability to travel between program sites within Adams County
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and deliver speech-language therapy to students ages 3–5
- Maintain accurate and compliant paperwork, reports, and progress notes, with protected time weekly for documentation
- Consult with classroom teachers and families to develop and implement IEP goals
- Engage with students across multiple sites, adapting services to meet diverse needs within the program
- Utilize provided resources, including a laptop, iPad, subscription to LessonPix, therapy materials, and testing kits
