This contract runs from December through May, offering a steady weekly schedule of 32.5 hours, Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 3:30pm. You’ll focus on direct therapy and evaluations, tailoring your interventions to young children and fostering an engaging, supportive space for growth.
Qualifications:
- Valid NJ Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Experience working in schools, especially with preschool and kindergarten populations, strongly preferred
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Ability to manage a caseload, conduct evaluations, and deliver both individual and group therapy
- Effective communicator with students, staff, and families
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language assessments and therapy for preschool and kindergarten students
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other specialists to support students’ individual education plans
- Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, therapy sessions, and student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting for students
- Serve as a resource for staff and families regarding language development strategies
