School Speech Language Pathologist - Clifton, NJ

This position involves working with children in preschool and kindergarten settings, providing both evaluations and direct therapy, from December through May. You'll have a set schedule—Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, for a total of 32.5 hours per week. With a manageable caseload, you'll have the chance to focus on creating effective, individualized interventions for each student.
Qualifications:
- Active New Jersey Speech-Language Pathologist license (NJ SLP)
- Experience in school-based or pediatric SLP settings preferred
- Strong communication skills and collaborative approach with school staff and families
- Ability to design and implement engaging therapy sessions suited for early childhood developmental stages
- Commitment to maintaining thorough documentation and timely evaluation reports
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and interpret results
- Deliver direct therapy to preschool and kindergarten students, adapting strategies to meet individual needs
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student progress and integrate therapy into classroom routines
- Monitor and document student progress, keeping stakeholders informed
- Participate in meetings as needed to support student development
