Speech-Language Pathologist in Stafford, VA
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Stafford, VA, serving a school setting with a focus on supporting middle and elementary school students. This contract position offers a dynamic role providing both case management and direct therapy services to approximately 55 students, primarily at the middle school level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech-language therapy services in compliance with student IEPs.
- Manage case files and participate in administrative duties related to caseload requirements.
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support student progress.
- Attend paid team meetings and utilize allocated indirect hours for administrative tasks.
- Supervise support personnel as required under district guidelines.
- Adapt therapy approaches for a caseload that includes both middle and elementary school students.
- Participate in required training and utilize the district’s IEP system effectively.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology Certification (CCC-SLP) and licensure appropriate for school settings.
- Experience working in educational environments preferred.
- Ability to manage an itinerant caseload and travel between schools as needed.
- Strong organizational skills for case management and documentation.
- Commitment to student-centered, evidence-based therapy interventions.
