Step into a vital role supporting elementary students as an on-site Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic school environment. This contract position offers the flexibility of both part-time and full-time schedules, serving multiple schools as an itinerant SLP through June 2027. You’ll collaborate closely with diverse student groups across various special education settings, partnering with both instructional and therapy teams.
Key Experience and Qualifications:
- Current and active Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Pennsylvania teaching certification required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) highly preferred
- Must complete all mandatory PA school clearances within one year of start date
- Previous experience in school-based and/or pediatric speech therapy strongly preferred
- Strong ability to adapt to different classroom and service models
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language evaluation, intervention, and consultation services to elementary-aged students
- Travel between multiple school sites as part of an itinerant schedule
- Address a broad range of speech and language needs within various special education settings
- Collaborate directly with instructional staff, other SLPs, and multidisciplinary teams
- Complete required documentation as a case manager, with administrative support for paperwork
- Communicate effectively with families and staff to ensure student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development
- Maintain regular work hours between 8:15am-3:45pm (37.5 hours per week for full-time), with flexibility for part-time consideration
