Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Westport, CT
Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students in an innovative classroom-based setting. Two dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists are needed to work collaboratively within classrooms, delivering services directly to students as part of their daily educational experience. This role differs from traditional pull-out models, offering unique engagement with students and teachers to foster communication success in real time.
Start date is ASAP, continuing through June 11, 2027. Both seasoned SLPs with their CCC and Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply. Supervision for Clinical Fellows is readily provided—CFs will find a nurturing environment where development and mentorship are fully supported. No SLPAs will be part of this assignment, ensuring specialized expertise.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active state licensure (or eligibility) for school-based SLP practice
- CCC-SLP or in process of Clinical Fellowship (CFY)
- Experience with pediatric populations, particularly school settings, is highly valued
- Comfortable working within a team and integrated classroom environments
- Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services within the classroom, adapting to various group and individual needs
- Collaborate closely with educators and other school staff to enrich student communication skills across settings
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Engage with parents and guardians to support ongoing development
