This part-time position offers the flexibility of 15-20 hours per week, spread across two to three days, allowing for impactful sessions while maintaining work-life balance. The school is seeking a professional who brings solid AAC service experience, even if not AAC evaluations, and a passion for collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for students.
What You'll Bring:
- Valid licensure meeting all state requirements for Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in SLP (SLP-CCC)
- Prior experience working in school-based settings with high school populations
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in providing AAC services
- Strong track record collaborating in specialized educational programs for neurodiverse students
- Commitment to supporting students’ growth in communication, independence, and self-advocacy
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy sessions
- Implement and monitor AAC devices and strategies tailored to student needs
- Document progress and contribute to IEP meetings as a communication expert
- Serve as a vital resource for school staff and families regarding speech/language and AAC
