School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - West Sacramento, California

Step into a fulfilling school-based contract opportunity supporting K-12 students near West Sacramento! This assignment begins in August 2026 and continues through early June 2027, with multiple Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) positions available. You’ll work in person, collaborating with educators, support staff, and families to make a meaningful difference in students’ communication skills and overall success.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure and credentials necessary to practice in schools (NPI and CTC required)
- Previous experience in a K-12 setting preferred, but enthusiastic early-career SLPs are also encouraged
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
- Compassion for students and passion for facilitating growth and academic achievement
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, individually and in groups
- Complete evaluations, develop IEP goals, and maintain detailed documentation
- Engage actively in multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP processes
- Collaborate daily with teachers, staff, and family members to create supportive learning environments
- Adapt services to meet the diverse needs of a varied caseload; where appropriate, work closely with SLPAs for support
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
