A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available with a K-12 school district in Fortson, GA, running through the current school year contract term. This role is focused on delivering comprehensive speech and language services within the school setting, supporting student IEP development and implementation, and ensuring compliance with all educational and therapy documentation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.
  • Prepare and manage all related documentation, including Review and Revision (RDR) reports and IEP writing.
  • Provide direct therapy to students with speech and language needs.
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, educators, and related service providers.
  • Potentially supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs).
  • Maintain accurate, timely daily service logs and paperwork to support compliance and timesheet approval.

Qualifications:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in good standing.
  • Valid Georgia Educator License with SLP certification.
  • Proven experience in school-based speech-language pathology.
  • Prior supervision of SLPAs is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills, reliability, and effective time management.
  • Ability to work 7.5 hours per day during school hours in a structured schedule.
