Speech Language Pathologist in West Columbia, SC

Exciting opportunity for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to support elementary students on a full-time contract assignment. This position covers a medical leave, beginning in February (specific start date TBD) and continuing through the end of the school year. Situated near West Columbia, SC, you’ll join a dedicated school team and positively impact students’ communication skills in an onsite setting.
Preferred candidates bring clinical expertise and adaptability to serve a diverse elementary caseload. This role values both Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) professionals who meet South Carolina licensure requirements.
Qualifications:
- Active state of South Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Current SC teaching certification
- CCC-SLP required (CFY acceptable if license and certification are active)
- Previous experience in elementary school settings strongly preferred
- Commitment to working onsite
- Ability to cover full-time schedule (37.5 hours/week) for the duration of the assignment
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to elementary school students with a range of speech, language, and communication needs
- Complete assessments, participate in IEP meetings, and maintain thorough documentation
- Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and special education staff
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary
- Adhere to all relevant district and state guidelines
