Exciting opportunity awaits a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to support elementary students for a contract position covering a medical leave. This onsite, full-time role spans 37.5 hours per week, with the assignment running from February (exact dates to be determined) through the end of the school year. Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current and active South Carolina SLP license
- Valid South Carolina teacher certification
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) candidates welcome
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred; pediatric experience highly valued
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to elementary school students in accordance with IEP goals
- Conduct assessments, develop intervention strategies, and document student progress
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to appropriate individualized education plans
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines, as well as best practices in the field
- Support students facing communication, language, and articulation challenges, fostering growth and academic achievement
