Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | West Columbia, South Carolina
As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist working with a vibrant K-12 population, you will play an integral role in helping students achieve communication success. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact onsite within an engaging educational setting during the 2026-2027 school year. With a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours, you’ll provide direct therapy, assess student needs, and shape holistic, individualized support plans.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active South Carolina SLP license required
- SC Educator Certification is essential
- Experience in pediatric and/or school-based speech-language pathology
- Comfort with developing and tracking individualized student goals
- Familiarity with conducting speech/language assessments
- Skilled in facilitating and leading IEP meetings
- Strong documentation, progress reporting, and communication abilities
- SLP-CCC and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants encouraged to apply
- Teletherapy skills valued, though services are onsite
Responsibilities:
- Administer comprehensive speech/language assessments for K-12 students
- Formulate individualized therapy objectives and measurable goals
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based therapy services directly to students
- Lead and contribute meaningfully to IEP meetings and collaborative initiatives
- Maintain detailed student records and progress notes, ensuring compliance with district and state standards
